ON CERTAIN MEDIUM DUTY CHASSIS CAB VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH HYDRAULIC BRAKES, THE DRIVE LINE PARK BRAKE ANCHOR BOLT MAY BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO FATIGUE LOADING. THE BOLT COULD FRACTURE OVER TIME DUE TO INSUFFICIENT CLAMP LOAD AS A RESULT OF IMPROPER ANCHOR BOLT PLATING.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE PARK BRAKE ANCHOR BOLT. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 6, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FORD AT 1-800-392-3673.

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE BRAKE PADS WORE OUT WITHIN TWO MONTHS OF INSTALLATION AND ALL THE ROTORS WERE CRACKED. THE PADS WERE REPLACED 3 TIMES. THE STOPPING DISTANCE OF THE VEHICLE WAS TOO LONG TO BE SAFE. THE SERVICE DEALER CLAIMED THE PADS WERE NOT REPLACED SOON ENOUGH AND CAUSED THE ROTOR DAMAGE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WITHOUT ANY FOLLOW UP …
