What you'll see
A window sticker tells you what a car was when it left the factory. Ours is recreated from the vehicle's official build record, so you can check a used car's equipment against the seller's claims before you pay:
- Standard & optional equipment โ airbags, stability control, backup camera, driver-assistance features.
- Powertrain โ engine, horsepower, transmission and drive type.
- Base MSRP as reported to NHTSA, where on record.
- EPA fuel economy and estimated annual fuel cost.
- NHTSA crash-test ratings and where the car was assembled.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the original window sticker?
No. The original window sticker (the "Monroney label") is printed by the manufacturer for one specific car and is not published in any free public database. CarLogs recreates a sticker-style build sheet from official NHTSA and EPA records: the equipment, powertrain, base price and fuel economy on record for that VIN.
What does the build sheet show?
Standard and optional safety and driver-assistance equipment, engine, transmission and drivetrain, body and dimensions, where the car was built, the base MSRP reported to NHTSA (where available), EPA fuel economy and NHTSA crash-test ratings.
Does it list the options fitted to my exact car?
It shows which features were standard and which were offered as options for that build. Which optional packages were actually ordered on an individual car is not in public data โ check the car itself or ask a franchised dealer to print the original sticker.
Is it free?
Yes. The build sheet, specs and open safety recalls are free with no account. The paid report adds title, salvage and odometer history.
